Organizations are continuously under pressure to deliver various key initiatives across their digitalisation journey as part of Digital Transformation. Each initiative has to either deliver a product or a service, allowing business to achieve corporate objectives including customer experience, operational excellence, agile working, employee engagement etc. Ability to deliver or suffice a simple initiative might not seem very challenging but if this is the case across entire organization then it suddenly becomes challenging.

A set of business goals for an organization will impact various business areas within the organization, at which point project management becomes very critical enabling business sponsors monitor and deliver agreed objectives. – Approach

– Methodology

– Roadmap

Phase 1 – Approach

Organizations are adopting different approaches that suits to its needs

  • Hire fully trained professionals
  • Hire a consultancy to provide the service
  • Train business champions to a specific framework/model
  • Hybrid approach (any/all of the above)

Phase 2 – Methodology

Phase 3 – Roadmap

Final phase of the project management after choosing the methodology is to define maturity roadmap for the organization to adopt and implement. Maturity model and roadmap will be based on individual business needs and the commitment to invest in project management capability.
